Effects of Training and Rare Candy on Stats

QUESTION
Do the stats of a pokemon that is raised through training eventually become greater than do the stats of a pokemon that is raised solely through use of the Rare Candy?

A pokemon raised through training has higher stats than a pokemon raised only through use of Rare Candy, and is therefore stronger.

Today I collected 8 Rattata specimens from the tall grass on Route 29, between New Bark Town and Cherrygrove City. I used my Gastly, Eclipse, to capture the first 4 during the day; at night I caught the last 4 with a male Rattata named Billy. All specimens are female and have identical stats.

The first four specimens (Alice, Becca, Cathy, and Diana) will be raised during the day; at night they go into their box and the last four specimens (Ellie, Fiona, Ginny, and Helen) come out and are raised during the night. Specimens A, B, E, and F will be raised through training, whereas specimens C, D, G, and H will be raised with Rare Candy.
All specimens will be raised to level 6 at first. If there is no noticable change between stats, then a higher limit shall be set.
As I go through with this experiment, I plan to keep the following variables in control:
- Species and levels of pokemon that are fought
- When and what specimens are carried in party
- When specimens gain a level
